Tunog Palawan 2023

Jaycen Cruz bagged 2nd place in this year's Tunog Palawan - a songwriting competition hosted by the Provincial Government of Palawan as part of the Baragatan Festival.

Out of 29 submissions, 10 finalists were chosen and performed their original compositions at the Grand Finals Night held last June 18, 2023 at the VJR Hall, Provincial Capitol.

With the theme "Baliktanaw sa Kasaysayan, Gabay Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan" ("Looking Back at History, Guiding towards a Bright Future for Palawan"), Jaycen wrote Dito Sa Amin - a song honoring history of Palawan and the role of Christianity in shaping the Palaweño culture.
